HYE RO HUN designed by IROJE KHM Architects
HYE RO HUN is a contemporary architectural home designed by IROJE KHM Architects in South Korea.
The entry to the residence is maze-like, with a floating bamboo garden, and horizontal and vertical walkways which move through the external and internal spaces of the residence. These walkways were designed to create the feeling that there is a continuous and dramatic sequence of movement throughout the home.
The internal courtyard leads to the main residence which is comprised of two large box-like structures. The gardens surrounding these two boxes were designed to create the illusion that they are ‘floating’ on the land.
One of the boxes contains the master bedroom and the study. The other box houses two other bedrooms and another study. These boxes sit above the main living and dining areas.
