The acquisition of China's SIP Group (“SIP”) strengthens Colliers International's service offerings to domestic and foreign clients
Colliers International Group Inc. announced that it has acquired SIP Group (“SIP”), one of China’s leading construction project management consultancies and integrated its operations with Colliers’ existing business in the region.
Colliers International Project Management provides a variety of services to both domestic and offshore clients in China, including design consulting, construction management and consultancy services, post-construction and decommissioning consulting, as well as tender management and due diligence services on behalf of real estate owners and occupiers. The combined business now operates with more than 110 project managers. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Colliers’ Project Management team in China will be strengthened by SIP’s proven leaders, including Managing Director Oliver Li and Founder Geoff Mills, who is China Representative of the UK Institution of Civil Engineers, both of whom have 25 years’ tenure at SIP. The team will work in collaboration with Head of Project Management in Asia Saacketh Chawla, and Co-Head of China Tammy Tang, in delivering integrated services for developer, occupier and investor clients across all sectors.
“We are delighted to have the experienced professionals from SIP join our growing project management platform in China,” said David Hand, Chief Executive Officer | Asia Pacific. “The combination of Colliers’ client-focused professionals and SIP’s project execution excellence provides our domestic Chinese and foreign clients with outstanding capabilities across all project types, specialities, and industries, throughout China and beyond.”
“We are very excited to be part of Colliers International at this important time in our firms’ history,” said SIP Founder and Managing Director Geoffrey Mills. “Our track record of completing complex projects for large blue-chip international firms looking to do business in China, combined with Colliers’ leading global platform and market-leading real estate services business in China, will enable us to offer existing and new clients expanded, world-class project management and consultancy services.”
Tammy Tang, Co-Head | China at Colliers International, commented: “The strategic acquisition of SIP Group stems from the synergy we see in our two organisations and the enhanced value and service we can deliver to our clients. This acquisition builds on our reputation for and success in delivering complex projects and positions Colliers International for accelerated growth in China.”
We are thrilled to become part of Colliers International,” said Oliver Li, Managing Director at SIP Group. “The entrepreneurial spirit at SIP is well aligned with Colliers’ enterprising culture and we look forward to the integrated team delivering tailored, end-to-end solutions for both domestic and international clients.”
