Miss Hyojin Kim has been announced as Head of Savills Vietnam's Korean desk based in Hanoi
Savills Vietnam has announced the launch of its new Korean desk to assist a wide range of Korean enterprises across its full range of real estate services in Vietnam, and appointed Ms. Hyojin Kim, based in Hanoi to run the desk.
Hyojin is a Korean expatriate in Vietnam with background in diplomacy and international business studies. Before joining Savills Vietnam in May 2019, she honed her communication skills and market understanding as a news reporter for five years at the Korea Times, South Korea’s largest English-language daily. As Head of Korean desk, Hyojin will expand Savills Vietnam Korean client network and provide them with comprehensive consultations about Vietnam real estate market and its wide range of property sectors. Her primary focus at the moment is Business Development, Commercial Leasing where she will work as a direct liaison between Korean office & retail occupiers and Savills leasing services and commercial property landlords.
It was a strategic move for Savills Vietnam to establish a Korean desk. Matthew Powell, Director of Savills Hanoi said, “Korean clients and enterprises are playing an increasingly significant role in Vietnam property market. According to Ministry of Planning & Investment, in 1H2019 Korea was the second largest foreign direct investors in Vietnam with 2.73 billion USD inflow, accounting for 14.8% of total registered FDI. With more than 24 years of experiences, Savills has a long history of working with many Korean clients in Vietnam including many corporate occupiers, real estate investors, property developers, retailers, and other professional service providers. A specialised service offering for Korean clients and enterprises has become essential to our business in Vietnam. That is why our Korean desk was set up. With Ms. Kim taking lead, our real estate services are expected to reach Korean clients extensively and intensively. This addition will certainly help Savills consolidate its position as a global real estate practice with in-depth local market expertise.”
With her new role in Savills, Hyojin said: “I am very pleased to join the team here at Savills Vietnam and look forward to working with our Korean clients to assist them with their real estate requirements. This position acts as a point of contact, which will help me deeply understand their business needs and how Savills will be best placed to help them. I expect our Korean desk to add further depth to the services that we can offer our Korean clients.”
