Colliers (NASDAQ and TSX: CIGI) has today announced the appointment of Bill Chan as Senior Director, Industrial Services in Hong Kong. This strategic acquisition adds significant growth momentum to the Industrial Services business just one month on from the double appointments of Roy Chan and Eddie Fu.
Bill Chan has returned to Hong Kong and is rejoining Colliers after leaving in 2019 to work in Canada for DHF Capitals, a real estate development and property management company. He has 28 years of experience in industrial real estate brokerage and industrial manufacturing, and his extensive track record includes major leasing, disposition and acquisition deals across a range of assets in multiple global markets.
CK Lau, Managing Director | Hong Kong, commented: “I am delighted by the appointment of Bill Chan. Bill has decades of experience and will provide a strong balance of industry expertise, leadership and an understanding of the Colliers’ platform as we continue our rapid expansion to make Industrial Services one of our core business lines.”
“Bill joins us at an exciting time and is part of a rising trend that has seen a number of senior experts return to the business. We will use this momentum to deliver on our ambitious Enterprise ’25 Growth Strategy, which sets out how we will grow the industrial business’s headcount by a further 50% by the end of 2022 and the overall Hong Kong business by over 25% year-on-year,” added Lau.
Bill’s addition to the team adds asset-specific expertise, specifically with data centres where he advised GDS Holdings Ltd on setting up their first space in Hong Kong, which complements the focus areas of multiple Colliers’ business lines. This new role positions him as one of the senior members of the team, and he will target increased collaboration to align his knowledge, client relationships with the business’s experts to accelerate our success.
Bill Chan, Senior Director, Industrial Services | Hong Kong, added: “I’ve been impressed by Colliers’ global, regional and local trajectory that has positioned it as the third-largest real estate services company in the world. In Hong Kong, Colliers has had some recent high profile success, including the disposition of 5 Broadgate for CK Asset Holdings Ltd.”
“The appointment of CK Lau as Managing Director of Colliers in Hong Kong is a major factor in my decision to rejoin the business – the growth projected up until 2025 is very exciting,” added Chan.
